Not even remotely close to being accurate. You fundamentally misunderstand what Bitcoin is.
You say "a fork is actually more possible in the the near future".
That is obviously exactly what I meant. The context alone should’ve made it obvious.ANYONE can fork Bitcoin. It's not even hard. What you meant to say is that it is more possible that a fork of bitcoin might achieve some level of acceptance by the rest of society.
Bitcoin is nothing more than a collection of computer programs that communicate over a mutually agreed protocol. Any individual, or group of individuals that change the accepted protocol have created a fork.
Exactly! And it would take a hell of a lot more incentive than there is now for BTC in order for enough people to create a fork that matches BTC. The hard Forks that have been attempted so far have not been very successful. None of them seem to have any chance of ever matching or replacing BTC. For various reasons.
It’s not a maxi versus alt-coin proponent issue. There are lots of people who are into both. Being a bitcoin Maxi or the latter doesn’t change the fact that bitcoin’s incentive structure and track record make it a superior choice over the forks. Or cryptocurrency in general if you are looking at widespread adoption. Even if they are fundamentally better.Just apples and oranges with maxis on here.
Bitcoin is fantastic at being Bitcoin. It sucks at being Ethereum, or most any other utilitarian token.
How is it insulting if its sole purpose is exactly that? I don’t own any Trac but I still recognize it for what it is meant to be. And it’s not meant to be the same thing as bitcoin. otherwise, I would share your opinion about its primary use as being insulting to the potential use of the technology.I'm not dissing Bitcoin, but to limit blockchain technology to purely monetary transfers is insulting to the potential of the technology.
