Black snot--is it bad for you? Why is UPS so dirty?

The people that say suck it up clearly have not dealt with chronic sinus issues..

Wear a dust mask.

My sinus health improved greatly after a septoplasty. Worth looking into if you have issues there. You may have a deviated septum and things don't drain well.

That's what I used to do when I had to drive the fat guys' tractors into the shop. I would nearly puke without them. They smelled SO bad!

No. One at a time. No teams. They never rolled down the windows and smelled like ss. Guys so big they bent the steps, broke the steering column supports climbing in, and had the deflate the seat completely to fit under the steering wheel.

Some of the cabs reeked so bad that we would tape down the button on aerosol cans of air freshener and throw them in like a grenade before we went to work on them if it involved having the cab open or being in it.

They did that too. Dashboards covered in ashes, holes burned in the seats, etc. Gray interior turned green, etc. Nauseating combination.

Black snot is fine if it's right after a day of work, it just means your mucus is doing the job it is meant to do and trying to filter out all the in the air we breathe. The only way to really prevent it is to wear a face mask so the doesn't reach your nose in the first place.

No. I had sinus problems before I even began working in a dusty industrial situation.

Yes. Depends on what I've been doing lately. Not really too much of an issue for me.
