Ocean temps are still about 50 .
So it's warm along the coast , today steam was rising from the water .
I hauled some lobster traps on Tues caught 3 . Put them in the keeper .
Town wide Christmas Parade this Sat starting at 6pm.
How should I dress for snow or rain ?

It's a freezing 66 degrees here. I might have to put on a hat to keep warm. You kids have no idea about our brutal weather here in the frozen tundra known as San Diego.
Would love to live there, what's the secret on buying a home there on a ups salary? Any affordable nice areas?

You're one of those guys?

My last stop is a drop box in the mall. I was wearing two pairs of socks, top and bottom Under Armour, LS shirt, pants, coat and hat. Guy walking with his wife was wearing shorts. Just shook my head.

Apparently I am. But only during work. As long as my core is warm I don't really get cold. My hands and toes were freezing Thursday night but not much wearing pants would have done about that.
But when on my own time, I will be dressed nice and toasty warm.

Still have 1 guy in shorts here. And a a few wearing sneakers.
There are two of us in our building still in shorts and yes I wear sneakers. I will one day wear pants but the other guy goes ALL YEAR in shorts. My cutoff is when the snow is deep enough to get into my shoes.

for the guys that still wear shorts... make sure you all double up with 2 pairs of shorts! Gonna be a cold one today!
I just wear my winter shorts. Their in the uniform selection list if you ask nice

These young guys who think they're so cool and tuff wearing the shorts in the cold ,,, will pay the price when they hit 50 !!!

has nothing to do with being cool and tuff. To me it's just comfortable. And I'm 41 and been driving for 20 years so it's definitely not about being young. Hell, I'm in the top half on the seniority list in my center so I'm not even one of the young guys anymore.

65 is comfortable.
Ours is usually set at 68-70. House is pretty cheap to heat. Gas bill has never been over $270

Mine is set at 66 during the day when I am at work and I bump it up to 68 when I get home. I have closed off an unused bedroom with the thermometer turned down to 50 and lower my bedroom thermometer to 60 and close that day when I am at work, turning it up to 66 when I get home.

My energy bill last month was $28.43.
