I was just telling my wife this the other day. As a a kid, I was so fearful Russia was gonna nuke us, I used to have nightmares...bad. Brings back that feeling a little.

When I was a kid the schools still had shelters but had changed from nuclear war to tornado drills.

We used to have the drills where we hid under our desks and I remember the monthly siren tests, but I never gave it a lot of thought. Lol.

We never did the drills, but some movies when I was a youngster scared the crap outta me. Red Dawn. And one called The Day After.
