Turns out the puppy was deformed----I guess that made it OK to feed it to the snapping turtle in front of a bunch of 7th graders.
It is very, very rare for a snapping turtle to eat a live puppy in nature.

I'm going to disappoint you.
I don't think I'm okay with it even if the puppy was deformed. I am totally in the market for a special needs animal. I want one that I can make a wheelchair for and name Lt. Dan!
