We soaked ours for a week in a 55 gallon drum. Changed water everyday. Then cleaned em. Soaked em overnight in salt water and right in the deep fryer

Catfish are great ... if caught in clean water. They are bottom feeders so in silty water will taste like mud.

Hardly any fishy taste with good catfish. The problem is it picks up its taste from the water its in.

How's the sugar levels? A big guy on my route had that weight loss surgery and he said all his sugar levels went back to nomal.
No meds needed. Apparently, that is a side effect from the procedure.

Mine are good. Surgery is fools gold. Once you get diabetes you never really get rid of it. You just manage it. Through diet.

No call today. Chaplin called yesterday and said she’s sitting with her. Hospice called asking a lot of end of life questions. I hate that I’m the one making all decisions and phone calls. I finally started a group text with my siblings.

I was fishing a different creek near my house last week. (there are probably 10 creeks or ponds near my house) I saw the biggest softshell turtle I have seen in a while. He was probably the size of a basketball. A little camera shy, tho. I went to take a pic of him, but this is all I got. Missed it by *that* much.
