Children have been desensitized to violence through their upbringing, tv, media, movies,video games, and the environment around them. They are literally progamed to think violence is good and then the adults can't figure out why they act on these impulses.

Not sure how that went array .... growing up we had many violent cartoons etc ... but we knew a filter

The violence back in your day wasn't nearly as realistic or intense as today. And kids have access to it all via the Internet.
