For starters this isn't 1940. I have no problem with my wife making more than me. I actually was the sole provider for 10 years. Supporting her while she followed her dream. There's no way she is where she is now without that.


I pay for the house
I pay the one car payment we have
I pay both electric bills
I pay both water bills
I put $80 a month into my daughters college fund.
I pay for all of my own gas
I pay for my breakfast and lunch virtually every day.

I know I pay for all of this because we have separate accounts.

Am I ok with this? Yeah I'm ok with it.

Cracks both of us up when people make such a big deal out of this. It works for us.

Worked for my grandparents for 58 years. Worked for my parents for 36 years so far.

We have more long term financial goals that we share than any other couple we know with possibly one exception. And the wife there is a CPA that's a nazi with the money.
