Something really does have to change and fast.

My wife is only 33 and school costs have doubled since she went.

The problem is with student loans. Everyone gets them and most don't worry about how or if they will ever pay them back. No incentive for the schools to hold down costs.

Part of the problem is the students themselves also.

They expect much more hand holding than in the past. They demand that college be a safe space for them. Leading to tons of oversight commitees. Blowing up admiatratives costs that bring now added value at all to the schools.
