That's that Asian lumpy like grass isn't it? I see that every so often but isn't it like for show not for actually walking on?
I think the selling point was you wouldn't need to mow it. Goes dormant and looks awful in the winter.Sounds like Texas grass. They should be embarrassed to call it grass--Its more like weed stubble.

It’s a creeping grass. It naturally keeps most weeds out but it browns really early and greens really late.
We used to deliver that crap up here years ago. I'm sure it never made it through a Mn. winter. It was advertised in that little magazine that came with every Sunday paper.I thought nobody still used that crap. I remember when it was a big fad

That looks like moss lol
What the heck is that?
That is the area between Southern grasses and Northern grasses. Fescue typically is the grass of choice there. Too hot for Northern grasses. Cold winters kill Bermuda.I don't know what this is.

If I lived in Florida, Zoysia would be my choice. There are new varieties that are way better than older Meyer.No. Zoysia is a nice grass to walk on. Almost doesn’t grow. Like you could let it go all summer and it might get 5-6 inches.

Def a different type than what I’ve seenWell now that I looked it up. According to Wikipedia it's the same grass you're talking about.
