That wasn't a very well written article. Seemed like the writer didn't want to believe it happened but there were multiple accounts of it. The way I heard it was just the lungs were spread out to resemble wings - not all the internal organs.

I stumbled across that when I was trying to find out what keel hauling was. Another gory form of torture. Lol.

Yeah, I found that out. I had heard the term many times but never looked it up until recently.

The point was to make them suffer. They would still be alive when they were cut open but I doubt they lasted very long.

Lol. Says the man up at 4:15. I sleep in on vacation. When I’m working I’m up at 0500. If I sleep any later the traffic gets too bad.
