I paid my own way but minimum amount on a scholarship because of my parent's income was too much. Far from rich but they made a bit too much. Didn't matter I was paying my own tuition either.

New report blows things out of proportion and makes it sound like a bunch of millionaires are getting a free ride.
My wife was the same way until we got married and even then I started driving a few months before the wedding so that didn’t help much.

If the parents aren’t paying I don’t see it as scamming. The kids aren’t getting money given to them so why shouldn’t they be on the same level?

Maybe we should talk about actually making school affordable.
They are becoming non-parents in order to get government benefits. 100% scam.
