Traditionally Lakewood was spillover country from Brooklyn and Staten Island. There are some geezer developments in there with thousands of retirees.

You have a very large senior citizen and orthodox jewish populations. Lots of nursing homes. The orthodox folks live in their own world like the Amish. Rules don't apply.
