Toward the end of my marriage (1996) my ex and I were grossing $150K between us. We never felt the need to have to hire someone to clean our house but, if we had, yes, we would have cleaned before they showed up.

The key to keeping the house clean is to keep up with it during the week and doing a deep cleaning once a month or so on the weekend. A house should be lived in.
