People are all hung up on the haves and have nots. Sucking the fun out of it anyway. I see people every year trying to shame others into giving 1 Santa gift of no more than $20 because that’s all some families can afford.
Haven't heard that but I'd tell someone to shove it if they tried to shame me with that crap.

Keeping up with the Jones’ is definitely not good for kids.
But kids only really get the Santa thing for what 5-6 years?

And I figure it’s better to teach your kids not everyone gets the same stuff early. I’d rather my 5 year old understand just because her friend got Barbie dream house doesn’t automatically mean she gets one. Then all of sudden be trying to teach a 13,14,15 year the harsh realities of life.

Yeah. The sooner they learn life isn’t fair, the better off they’ll be. If not, they’ll be one of the 20-somethings with all the mental health issues.
