My experiences and impressions of Az have been mixed.

It's where white people move so they can look like beef jerky or a Moroccan hand-bag.

Southwestern decor is very repetitive. Zia symbols, Kokopelli caricatures, pastels, cow skulls, cowboy hats, and bolo-ties induce nauseum in me.

Phoenix is awful. Prescott is fantastic. One of my most favorite people in the world is from Tucson.

I hear javelinas are quite a nuisance, and are abundant and fun to hunt.

I live in Surprise. Javelinas are around but not bad. Coyotes and bobcats too. Phoenix blows. I haven’t seen anyone in a Cowboy hat, that’s more Wickenburg. No cow skull, but the So west motive can be obnoxious. Prescott is nice. No leather people either, lol

I've lived in Tucson, Safford, Sierra Vista, Camp Verde, and Kingman. Love Prescott too but the really nice small cities have gotten expensive. I'm more a southern New Mexico guy.

I have witnessed, and lived through that transition in California.

It accelerated most quickly and profoundly where rich, white liberals bought areas of rural land; planted their stupid wine grapes, and established their hobby faux-farms.

In slightly over one human generation (25 years) everything I was fond of has been changed, transformed, torn down, or replaced. Myself, and the few remaining who share my demographic are the de-facto foreigners in our own hometowns.

They can do what the Fug they want , have their own elected official , they can build it them selves and never an ounce of help from the US taxpayer ! Mandatory men 18-30 to do a 4 yr service in our military,
