What if you have years of experience with a poster and it’s not an act to understand you are smarter than them? If someone refuses to acknowledge facts in favor of unfounded beliefs I don’t see the issue with treating them as an intellectual inferior.

There are two problems with that, one, it lumps us all together as being uneducated. Two, A persons ignorance will speak for itself. Insulting them doesn’t make you any more persuasive. I would argue less persuasive.

Free speech doesn't apply in businesses. I can't give a nazi salute at work or call somebody a racial slur and claim UPS owes me a job. Hell, I couldn't even grow a beard until a couple months ago without being fired unless I claimed to be a Sihk or something.

Pretty much the only thing keeping them from being to fire me for any reason at all is the union. I live in a right to work state.

And socialists gave us the union. Its true. Get used to it.

Paragraph four was also something like sentence five. It was two inches down the page. See for yourself. Additionally, the NYT post the numbers every day and clearly shows a 32% decrease in the 14 day moving average.

No matter which way you slice it:

He asserted something and then posted his own evidence showing it to be 100% false. Then he claimed victory.

Real men can admit when they are wrong.

When you say "Corona virus cases are falling but the media never reports it", all you need to lose the argument is somebody posting a case where the media does report it. I did. He posted the article in question. This might have mattered if his assertion was "the media is biased and downplays the decline". But he didn't say that. It would be much harder to own him if he had.

Then he posted an actual article that went directly against his assertion (laughably).

Seriously, formal logic is a great skill to have. They are short books. It might take a day to read but much longer to understand.

I posted a graph which runs on the front webpage of the Times ever day. it was this graph below.

Here is the big bold graph which I posted this morning.

It is one of the first things on the site and has been for months.

Then @DriveInDriveOut posted the article that he claimed: shows a death count and completely leaves out the massive drop in cases.....

The article notes the decrease in the fourth paragraph, which is also the fourth sentence.

So I win, ipso facto.

Sorry to go on about it. All he had to do was admit he was incorrect.

What's concerning is the so called experts are now saying that herd immunity, falling case and death rates, won't stop the need for masks, shutdowns, etc until 2022 and possibly beyond.
