Congress only bails out government employees. No chance of UPS employees getting a dime from the government.

What about Wall St. Government bailed them out and they're one of the reason the fund is in the shape it is.

The government needs to reavauate it's priorities.
Perhaps they could take a few years off of sending aid to foreign countries and make due with the military aircraft we presently have until our house is in order?
If they can't properly police this country, they should stop trying to police the world.

Central States stood a snowball's chance in hell of the Democrats stepping in to save them and Demoncrats are, for the most part, Socialist leaning thinkers that believe redistribution of wealth is the way to improve the economy.

Lesson here: Don't rely on the government, your employer or even, if you are lucky enough, your Union to take care of you. Sounds like an individual responsibility.

Ron Carey changed monthly payouts to the point that it was just a matter of time.

You guys had 82% of delegates in 2011. Teamsters United will exceed the 18% of anti H delegates from the last convention.

If you think that the 65,000 active members of the Central States are gonna vote for H you are delusional! He is gonna get destroyed by those members.

Ron Carey is not to blame for this…. The Central states pension fund & the TEAMSTERS ( WAKE UP PEOPLE ) who gave equal amounts to all retirees without requiring THE TRUCKING COMPANIES TO CONTRIBUTE THE SAME AMOUNT UPS DID.. Simple math that even most idiots would realize the money will runout…well I feel for my former co workers...

I won't say it is or it isn't. But this problem didn't just pop up last week. It's been 20 years in the making.
They certainly should have addressed this problem long before this. The pain could have been alot worse.

Will see an $1,800 cut to a pension to $1,200.

Imagine one month your monthly pension is $3000 and next month it's $1200.

That is severe.

Where are wide and lead?

Shouldn't they be blaming this on TDU, or T.S. or R.C. by now?
