If liberal members voted in favor too then how was it a strictly conservative quid pro quo?
What's done is done. The real injustice will be if Congress fails to pass an obviously needed strict new set of ethics laws for SCOTUS . If it doesn't do anything else it could very well result in a lot of earlier than planned retirements.

Why does SCOTUS have no ethics rules? I can’t give my mail person more than $20 without jeopardizing them and me, SCOTUS, no limit.
