...and we were forced to settle for a lesser contract...
That's about the dumbest thing I've seen on here.
Where'd all the 22:3 jobs come from? Which contract?
We got substantial raises.
You can't remember because you weren't man enough to join your fellow co-workers on the strike line and stay up on the facts.

Don't act like you care about union issues because it's all about you and always has been.

We lost profit sharing and stable pensions, among other lesser things, when we were not allowed to vote on their "last and final".
We didn't lose stable pensions. "We" unfortunately matched the company's offer of $3000/mo for 30 yrs because people like you would've crossed the strike line to take the company's bait.

Does anyone know if negotiations are actually happening yet? I know it's a little more than a year away, but I'm wondering when we'll start getting rumors and snapshots of what might be coming like with the last contract.

Seeing how cost of living has been going lately, I'm hoping the raises will be significantly more than the last contract because especially in my city rent increases have been kind of crazy. I've only just passed $15 an hour as a part timer, so I'm hoping for at least $1 an hour per year increases, but I don't know if that's realistic (but also kind of small, especially relatively speaking for fulltimers making over $30 an hour)

What do you guys think would be a good number for what we might get, or at least a realistic number?

Passed and imposed are totally different
Rooster. Low point in teamsters history .
623 will never forget what the IBT did.
It will show in all future contract votes.
FACT
The IBT did exactly what they were forced to do by a guy that used the last CBA as his tool to get credentialed. He lost, move on. If he does it again, the IBT will follow the Constitution and act accordingly.
Voting no of every future contract won't change one word of the last CBA.

I would be willing to accept a wage freeze in exchange for a significant boost in PT pay.

You're crazy. Every year we don't get a raise is a year we make less than the one before. Think about it.

This company is not hurting for money....not in the least. Definitely go for an increase in part time pay, but not at the expense of full time. You'd only be hurting them in the long run. I'm sure to you $36/hr sounds like a lot of money. You're getting ready to retire. If you own a home, you probably bought it years ago. If you were starting out right now, you wouldn't say it was. Everything is expensive. Have you checked out rents and home prices? Around here even starter homes are creeping on 300k. A mortgage payment can easily eat up half your take home. Car payments, utilities, food...And don't give me that :censored2: about buying old cars and :censored2: houses (If that's the case then you have no argument for no raises)

Anyway, as costs always go up...if we freeze the fulltime wage, then think of what that will do to all those part timers you're trying to help when they finally get to full time. You have effectively lowered their wage. Good job

If you're not careful, those attributes can be unpopular?

Years ago, my signature line was....

"You might not like what I say, But I always tell the truth."

Not saying he was at the "table" but probably have heard some of the stupid things the company wanted.

I wasn't at the table. (and never claimed it)

But.... I've been at the National reviews. And (anyone) searching my previous posts, it would reveal that.

And I thought it was my local that voted no that caused better HC, silly me.

And what lesson did they learn? That they won't get re-elected?

The job, stressors, physicality, safety, industry, profits, cost of living and such shall dictate the wage. You, will not.
Millennial's, for some reason, don't seem to want this job?

I'm betting it's because you need a lot more than a HS diploma and a driver's license?
Shhhh......

How much is enough (for a job that requires only a HS diploma and valid driver's license)?
This statement carries the same weight as the Company's SPOHR metric....

.....incomplete.
