$20 an hour is not much at all. What world do you live in? Must be a pretty hard job cuz our center cant find anyone to work and not quit.

PT positions are not meant to be the only source of one's income.

don't forget the retirees.......someday you'll be one of us.

It's a shame, but many active employees don't realize, retirees getting screwed directly affects them. So many ways to see this. The $300 a month retirees pay, in essence makes the active employee work an additional 2 years before retiring. Every additional year, kicks the pension up an additional $130 a month. May have changed since, but the $300 a month will also be changing.
So by thinking it only affect retirees, has place an additional burden of working an additional 2 years for the same net pension. 2 more years of working!!!! And it's going to get worse, if you let it! Maybe it'll be an additional 3 years, next? retire at 63, instead of 60 for same pension ? Day and night.

If your pension was totally eliminated, your statement would still apply. Would your opinion remain the same, if you did lose your pension?

It would be an adjustment but I would be just fine .
