i havent looked into this too much besides the chris hedges article, but i will listen to ralph nader now and i bet its a bad idea.
probably just more authoritarianism creep. many presidents wouldve continued on this path because of the economic inequality.

if you put a dangerous criminal in jail for the rest of his life then authoritarian creep is no longer an argument. at that point the courts have decided he's not redeamable and therefore no reason to plan on his ever being paroled. nadar and hedges will tell you to give the criminal a hug which i would advise against
Still plenty of prisoners in prisons to be taken care of.

See, you attack the U.S. while giving China a pass. Saw some expert on China say that they execute between 12,000 and 24,000 prisoners annually. They have most of the men of one ethnic group imprisoned. And China isn't 3rd World. And that's no excuse to do what they're doing anyways.

Executions in the States involve someone who planned out and performed a murder of another. For that they forfeit their life if caught and it's determined they did that in court. Now compare that to the Chinese summarily executing people and even harvesting their organs to sell.
