That's sad.We had a driver try to call in sick yesterday.
He worked.
That's sad.
I'm not working New Years Eve. Having a Four day weekend is far more important than pay.So much for a nice three day weekend!!

I will not have that option as it's considered extra work for us and the top guys will want it. I have Thurs-Mon off this week(Thurs is a lay-off no pay) and the same next week except I get paid for next Thurs that works for me.I will be working. Easy $$$. Work 5-6 hours and be home in plenty of time for evening plans.
I'm on vacation. As far as ups I concerned my phone goes off Christmas Eve when I clock out.I'm not working New Years Eve. Having a Four day weekend is far more important than pay.
lol Not many will be working the Monday after Xmas, let alone Saturday.Heard from a driver that we will have to work Sat after Christmas. Has anybody else heard this?
New Year's Eve is always a disaster, because ups never uses enough driver to allow anyone to finish in 5 or 6 hours. A four day weekend is worth more to me than ruining a perfect day off for time and a half pay. I get enough overtime all year long.I will be working. Easy $$$. Work 5-6 hours and be home in plenty of time for evening plans.

What about double time? It's double time here.New Year's Eve is always a disaster, because ups never uses enough driver to allow anyone to finish in 5 or 6 hours. A four day weekend is worth more to me than ruining a perfect day off for time and a half pay. I get enough overtime all year long.
