It’s like herding catsWow, could have sworn this thread was about Sean Obrien and the IBT General Election.
Did I accidentally wonder into current events?

Don't come here for that knowledge....SMHI’m genuinely asking, trying to learn as I don’t know enough about this, but how would ups have benefited without the trade agreements?
@Bubblehead, awwwww. May god help you with your affliction.Thank the good Lord.
Good Good.Big selloff by the rich, cashing in on our 401k's

You don’t know anymore than anyone else on here when it comes to global trade.Big selloff by the rich, cashing in on our 401k's

As I read it, you are recently retired.@Bubblehead, awwwww. May god help you with your affliction.
Hey, my money is in real estate and dirt. Smarten up. Where were you guys when the pension funds were going critical? Probably padding your expense accounts. As I read it, you are recently retired.
I think you should move all of your 401k money into aggressive investments for the "Big Win", if you haven't already.
You might want to convert it into small arms ammunition, the currency of the future.Hey, my money is in real estate and dirt. Smarten up
I have that too, schmuck. Lots of it.You might want to convert it into small arms ammunition, the currency of the future.
What's your address?I have that too, schmuck. Lots of it.off.
I would welcome you in. I’m in Surprise, Az. If you’re ever in the area, let me know. I respect your service to the Union. Just be sure to bring a few cases of good beer. How about we wait and see what happens? Sean Fain seems to like the tariffs. I admit, I’m a little nervous, but this country has been rolled like a drunk on Saturday night. If I’m wrong I will admit it and apologize, can you say the same? What's your address?![]()

Is it too late, or is this the last chance to set things right? You may know better.I very much want to be wrong.
....and ask you to rewatch and listen to what Sean Fain said, while discounting his exclusive angle.
It's too late to undo or rewrite the last 50 years.
We adapt and assume our place in the "global" economy, or get swallowed up by it as we implode from within.
@Bubblehead is a good union man I appreciate his opinion and perspective as I do yours. Sucks that your BAs treated you that way, it is a honor to serve the members. Even if they have to get in some of the members ass every now and then. When a union representative gets to the point that the membership is an annoyance to him or her it is time to step down.@Bubblehead, and just like that, we found common ground. I was never a big Trump supporter. Life long democrat that felt taken for granted. NAFTA sealed it for me. The union in New England was run by hacks. I’m a scorned bargaining member. We ment nothing to our BAs. Different world there, trust me. I don’t know how you dealt with the company, I’ve got the impression you were for the rank and file. I apologize for any insult, but I’m sick and tired of phony ass wipes that pretend to care about the workers.
He’s pretty good at talkin like a slick politician without wanting to upset either side lol![]()
Teamsters president on Trump's economic agenda: 'They made a lot of promises'
President Trump’s Cabinet is now complete. The Senate confirmed Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer in a broadly bipartisan vote. The former Oregon congresswoman picked up support early on in the nomination process from labor groups, including the Teamsters. Geoff Bennett discussed the...www.pbs.org
Sean O’Brien:
“Look, the tariffs are controversial. There's no doubt about it.
But I think what's important, you can look at the good side of tariffs and the bad side. I think what's important to us and to working people and the unions is to bring back manufacturing, bring back industries that were allowed to go to foreign countries, where we can actually put people to work, create a middle class and give people opportunities in industries that once thrived in the United States. So that's a positive.
As far as the taxes in Canada, Mexico, or anywhere else, China, look, it's going to be a wait and see in what effect it has on the economy. And I'm confident that, if it's, as negative as people are portraying it, people should get back to the table and figure out what's in the best interest of the American people.”
