Do you believe Sean O’ Brian Will be elected president of the international for a second term?

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
I tend to agree that tariffs will help unions. Shawn Fain has said the same thing.
Of course they will, it’s common sense. The world needs us, the biggest consumer market on earth. Every company that employs union members will benefit. They will hire more union members.

Who is this opposition that you speak of? I haven't heard about anyone running except for maybe Palmer.

Uhm I don't know if you have heard but house Republicans are afraid to answer questions from their constituency at town hall meetings in their own districts and cancelled them all

Palmer comes out of the gate with too much politics in his gut. That will be a big turn off to a lot of members. Not to mention he doesn’t have much name recognition.

Obviously UPS only represents a part of the teamsters, but after seeing some of the maneuvers the company has made post 2023 contract, it makes me wonder if SOB and the teamsters knew more. They touted alot of things post contract that company had very swift counter measures drawn up.

I don’t believe they knew anything. Who could’ve ever thought that the strategy of the company would be to lose as much business as possible and be uncompetitive so they could close buildings and implement AI and automation more and more. those things will certainly be at the forefront at the next contract. We might have quite a fight on our hands.

Part timers make big money now. A lot of companies, members fight for OT, UPSers fight against it and get paid more! Super deluxe healthcare isn’t cheap, plus great pension contributions, bottom line is UPSers are quite expensive.
