Maybe the threat to withdrawal might put pressure on the Union, but the Union can't change the 50% or 2/3rd split. There are 2 parties involved and both would have to agree to it. The Union and UPS. People don't seem to realize this is an actual contractual rule between 2 parties, not just the Union. It's to late to blame someone for allowing the rule. It's already been written long before this "bargain" contract began negotiating.

Its not a contractrual rule between two parties! The 2/3 rule is part of the teamsters constitution and has nothing to do with UPS, and the very rule has other language written in it, besides ratifying the agreement, that clearly states that the union can go back to UPS with the results and negotiate whatever gains they can. Besides that fact, this contract was never presented or represented as the final offer from the company, a term i have heard many times during other contract negotiations in my 30+ years at UPS. But not one time was that language used, which the constitution clearly states the rules apply to the final offer.

The effects of B.S. talk is this, counter productive and a distraction from the real enemies/ problem. We can go circles talking smacl about you me, your mom, my mom, blame the company, blame the union, argue the laws and bi laws origins and faults while dropping the union and we will be no where. All I'm trying to do is get you guys to realize that if it is what it is and the Union ignores the V.P. on sitting down at the table, then we need to learn from this. 5% short of votes are what failed us. What's the solution. It's not to leave the Union, grab a binky and throw a fit. It's to find a solution as to how we boost our voter participants. One way is to utilize these new guys we're calling Hybrids and get them pissed off about the pay cut. Another is to be persistent on pushing others to vote. WhatsW your solution, B.S. talk and tamper tantrums. What next, are you gonna talk smack on TeiTwit at 3 am?

Maybe me having a side business is funny to you, but the best safety message I live by is to Leave yourself an out. Have an escape route. That's the purpose of my side gig and it's growing. Maybe I'll be in it 100% and even build a franchise that I'll sell you in the future, but you better be aware of my Constitutional clauses. Lol. Either way, know the problem and stop stabbing your own.

You can fill my phone screen up with as many words as you want, you still don't know what the IBT Constitution is.

A constitution is simply a set of rules governing an organization. It is not an agreed-upon contract, there are not two parties involved in it.

I don’t have time for a 5 or 10 year plan to hold the union accountable. Sorry

it’s not the leadership it’s the weak ass members. Complaining the contract is so bad but apparently it’s not so bad because they want to stay for the free medical, pension and industry leading pay the Union gets them. It’s obviously just an excuse to free load off the Union and stop paying dues. Idiots are cutting of their nose despite their face. The end of the Union is not Hoffa or Z or anyone else. Clearly it is these imbeciles that are too stupid to realize they were only 12,000 votes away from winning and planning to weaken the Union by not paying dues and withdrawing their right to vote. Amazing! I am not kidding the vote no guys are passionate but the most uniformed stupid people I have seen in my career at UPS. You want new leadership but can not even demonstrate any amongst yourselves. They are really all a bunch of anarchists thinking they are an activists!
Shut the hell up already yes man.

I voted “yes” and our Local majority did too with over 50% participation.

Wow, man up! You guys sure can dish it out but can’t take it. You sold us on how ignorant you guys were on the contract and it’s process. Then you want to parlay that stupidity with leaving the Union. Now you want me to leave you all alone to preach Union busting? Get outta here! Someone has to call you out on your bad advice and I have no problem being that guy. Stick to emoji charms ladies.

The Hoffa Taylor CORRUPT Company Controlled union IS NO union. We are paying them to take $ And rights away from Upsers. And they kept the membership in the dark. They are POS.
