And when inventories build up and no one is buying prices will have to be lowered. Start of a deflationary spiral that will lead to layoffs and very possibly a depression.
They need to get the fuel prices under control

The farmers are getting killed. Price of fertilizers through the roof price of diesel to operate the tractors is through the roof and the price to get their products shipped to the market has went through the roof.

I have customers on my route they're usually super busy this time of the year but people are canceling jobs because the prices are too high for material and labor.

They won’t
Maybe when gas gets a 7 or $8 a gallon around election time they may change their minds.
It can't be all or nothing you have to transition things over time.

There is close to 300 million vehicles being used in the United States right now.
How many decades would it take to replace them all with electric vehicles?
Plus we have such an antiquated power grid system there's no way that we could charge all these vehicles up

I’m telling you they will not change direction. It’s not going to get better, only worse. If gas hits 7-8 bucks a gallon, and it will, we will be in a massive depression. They believe they know what will happen but no one does in those circumstances. It’s the law of unintended consequences. We are screwed. @Future is right.
And don’t think for one minute that social media sites, including this one, aren’t monitored or soon will be.

It took world war II to get us out of depression
