If I remember correctly, right before the Great Depression, conservative economic policies were put into place. I don’t recall those making things better.

We've come a long way since 1929. But economic principles remain the same. You can't spend your way to wealth, only prolong the inevitable and make it much worse.

Yah, your party is certainly aiming for that. The reality is people have short memories. The country is getting hammered by Democrat policies and will likely give power back to Republicans. If the Republicans don't perform well it's a matter of time before Democrats, aided by a very liberal Press, will get power back. If Trump gets reelected better believe the Press will do everything in its power to damage his presidency.
