Yep if you grill or smoke you need it. Most of us who are full-time here make a decent living. We can begrudgingly absorb this for a while. I do not know how people are going to make it much longer who were barely getting by before.
same here, I remember the days when i was one aw crap away from missing the rent check. can't imagine dealing with these prices then.

luckily food prices have dropped 50 percent where @newolddude lives so he does not have to suffer. :)

Something I would never believe that my wife would have asked me last week

She Miss Christmas. She likes buying presents and wrapping them up and seeing everyone's face being surprised on Christmas morning.

She said do you mind if we don't buy the kids anything for Christmas and we just give them money and if we give her parents some grocery shopping gift cards for Christmas.

She's thinking like that that's definitely going to be a good season for many of the retailers

My butt's still sore after buying groceries this morning

Inflation has played a big role in me finally dropping my THC addiction. I have people who are going to depend on me. Not a time to be a stoner

It has to be regionally. Prices are up, but not to where I've changed buying habits. Looking at a store flyer right now, they have bacon 4.49, potato chips 1.99, cereal 1.79, shredded cheese 2.99/lb., eggs 1.99/ 18 count, 80/20 hamburger 3.49, salmon 7.99, 8 grain whole wheat bread 1.49.

Actually the prices are quite erratic which makes me even more uncomfortable. Some things shoot up and come down for almost no discernible or understandable reason.

It's a good thing you get that free government cheese

Whey still have that program? I remember back in the early 80’s my unemployed ex girlfriend brought some home. Good thing that and selling our blood for beer money pulled us through the winter months...
