4Chan was already a haven of free speech for years and some Japanese guy owns it. Musk will screw this up royally and all the incel rabble on 4chan will find their new home there.

Well first of all, if Netflix thought this would be a money maker for them they're sorely mistaken. And they should pay me to run things.

But I have a feeling that this sort of stuff isn't really about money. It Is about an agenda. A super righteous one. And is it not the same agenda that the hard left, including the wokies at Twitter are running on? Or did it just drop out of the sky?

Would that post on Twitter not have gotten someone in hot water with Twitter pre-Elon? I'm not sure whether they're banning for that kind of "hate speech" while the sale to him is pending or not.

Yeah it’s all bs and way to appear woke. They actually don’t care. None of these corporations do.

I’d bet young wokie Twitter and Netflix employees speak pretty loudly within their companies and are heard by their leadership. Sometimes they are the leadership. And it shows.

Netflix probably didn’t just drop a series about a man having a baby because they expected it’d be good for their bottom line. Weirdo hard left programming never has been for anyone. Not on traditional TV and not on Netflix.

I’d further bet that the feeling of terror those who are at Twitter are feeling this week has more to do with ideology than money.

The sad part is you speak up against it. You’re a transphobic. That’s part of the fear to. If Netflix doesn’t air it then Netflix gets canceled because of cancel culture.

they dont want free speech on twitter because it will turn out just like /pol/ on 4chan

/pol/ started out with a mix of mostly libertarians and leftists; gradually through a vicious survival of the strongest argument, the libertarians realized their ideology only leads to communist subversion and slowly but surely turned to right-wing populism or outright fascism

the leftists meanwhile were utterly destroyed in nearly every debate and either moved to a more moderate ideology or just left /pol/ entirely to avoid being destroyed

Our ideas are just too strong, and it was on these forums that kept driving the right further to the right. Trump happened largely to the efforts on pol and Twitter.

there is an elitism that feels a need to express what can be expressed

Any far right radicalization has nothing to do with the rights grip on the chans at all either. If you don’t look at what the left puts in front of you and you don’t seriously start considering fascism and far right ideology at least a little bit, something is wrong with you. The question you should be asking yourself is, “what were the titles of the books they were burning back in the day anyway?”

The left made me a reactionary. I ain’t have no choice.

I think taking this stuff too seriously has robbed me of precious time late in my life. Do my civic duty and vote. Watch and read a few things. But I'm trying to stop worrying about all the what ifs. Don't want to treat everyone as a potential adversary until they prove they're in line with what I support. I liked Ronald Reagan when I was in my 20's but didn't start really following politics until the '92 election when I was 30. In these last 30 years I have seen dire predictions from both sides as to what would happen to the country if the other side gets in power. Until last year I haven't truly seen the country come apart at the seams because of an administration's policies. So yeah, I do worry about our future. But it's my life too and at best I have another 25 years but more likely 15-20 years. So I hope to do a few things before leaving or get too decrepit. Screw the woke mob. Screw people who are insensitive to the pain being suffered in far away places and down the street. These people are never going to change and it's spitting into the wind trying to make them see otherwise. As long as I've been alive there have been people who think this country can do no wrong as well as those who think it can do no right. My skin color gets me judged before I even open my mouth. Same with my economic status. Life is short, too short to waste on the judgemental. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is as profound now as when Jesus said it but is often unheeded. And as I'm not perfect I constantly have to remind myself not to be like those I just mentioned and too many times come up short. But I do know I no longer have most of my life ahead of me. Don't want to miss what's important focusing on what isn't. And two groups fighting over who controls the money and pushing conspiracy theories about the other group to get votes ultimately isn't important. When I'm gone it'll still happen.
