Elon Musk Exposes the Hatred of Free Speech

Fred's Myth

Nonhyphenated American
They'll be sued by their debt holders for lying about their valuation, and probably advertisers (see what's happening to Facebook), for lying about the number of users, forcing them into bankruptcy. Then Musk can swoop in and buy the place for pennies on the dollar, and avoid all the liabilities from the lawsuits from the people they illegally banned.
One can only hope.

Now if only the same fate would befall TikTok and Facebook.

Here we go again.

"Twitter is now taking a new stand and rolling out a new policy against misinformation that the company is dubbing its “crisis misinformation policy”, applicable during deemed periods of “armed conflict, public health emergencies, and large-scale natural disasters.”

“In times of crisis, misleading information can undermine public trust and cause further harm to already vulnerable communities,” Twitter explained in a statement. “Alongside our existing work to make reliable information more accessible during crisis events, this new approach will help to slow the spread by us of the most visible, misleading content, particularly that which could lead to severe harms.”

“While this first iteration is focused on international armed conflict, starting with the war in Ukraine, we plan to update and expand the policy to include additional forms of crisis,” the company said."

He needs to keep his foot on the gas and take these Twitter scum down! What these huge social media agrigators do is totally fraud, using their own bots and fake accounts to raise the hits\traffic amount, to defraud customers paying for advertising in good faith, only to be lied to and ripped off. Not to mention the defrauding of their investors, a move that is going to be impossible for Twitter to explain away!

This systemic fraud is pervasive throughout the technology industry, and the courts (especially in the US,) have feigned cluelessness for decades, now. There have been a few EU cases against Google & friends, but the shocking evidence & outcomes were just quietly swept under the rug by the media jerks, that for a whole generation have been sucking off the teat of these frauds... Just like Twitter, Facebook, Google, Instagram, Apple, tons of participants, et al.

And now Elon walks away? Should be interesting to see if the courts allow it.

Allow him to walk away from a deal when the other side failed to meet its full disclosure obligations? Our courts? Maybe not. Depends on if they think Musk owning Twitter is a good thing or a bad one.
