That's a jury not grand jury. Big, big difference.
It is a big difference, but a jury is a jury the persons that make it up. Do you want to be judged by 12 african americans or 12 crackers? The court does not compel the same jurors to sit for an unusual amount of time.

Grand jury duty here is for 30 days but it is quite rare to spend all 30 days in a courtroom. The norm is to go for a week at a time, as needed.

Think about what you guys are saying.

Consider a federal prosecutor trying to bring racketeering charges that needs subpoenas and responses to subpoenas and then verifying evidence and returning to the grand jury to present his case for recommendations. You think that takes place in a month?

Besides, the article posted states they are 18 month terms but can be extended to 24 months.

Grand juries do not judge guilty or not guilty. They are a voice of supporting or not supporting an indictment.

They can be extended, but you don't have the original jurors, all that has to be done is to show cause to renew. The next jurors might not be as inclined to indict as the last. That is why I asked you of who you, personally would like to be tried by. 12 blacks or 12 crackers. And thank you for jogging my memory, Mueller chose to have the grand jury in a less diverse jurisdiction. Not color, meaning a more highly populated democratic area.

Yes. The original jurors. Otherwise you'd have to start over again and again and again with different grand jury member.

Really? Thanks for the information. My question Do you want 12 blacks or 12 crackers making a decision in YOUR grand jury. I thought so.
