No, I retired and traveled. Had a rough patch with my wife. But always my intent to retire and travel. If you need to work until you're 70 that's your problem.

In many parts of the world, a couple's retirement is very dependent upon the marriage prospects of their hot daughter.
If Van sullies the hot daughter of some poor goat-herder, the family will be very happy that their daughter snared a rich American.
Then they'll throw his ass down a well when they find out he ain't got two nickels to rub together.
You really don't pay attention, huh? I got married at 51. Was still working. We quit to move to Mexico. She didn't like it so we came back. Got back on with FedEx. Retired at 55, took my pension. Have already talked about the trouble we had and I couldn't get a decent job because of it. She landed an ok job and moved her daughter in. Didn't get along with the daughter, couldn't get a decent job, was cheaper for me to leave. So traveled for 7 months. After getting back held several jobs. Best one had me on the road fulltime but was exhausting. Still friction with the daughter to the point I financed a 2003 Honda Element in 2020 and left. Have not lived with my wife since but have been making payments on her car. 8 payments left. When the Element started acting up I got rid of it and moved to Mexico. Was in a good situation there but after three months my father, who was 82 at the time, needed knee surgery. Asked me to come help him. Other than 3 months in Argentina and two weeks in Mexico I've been at my Dad's since May of '21. Have had a heart attack. Last year had a bunch of other ailments for which I'm receiving treatment. I get $3552 a month between Social Security and my pension and most of it goes right out the door to pay on medical bills and a loan my dad gave me. By the end of this year should start saving around $2500 a month. So there you go.
Except I respect my marriage vows and didn't touch any other woman but my wife. That most beautiful girl I mentioned? Spoke 4 languages fluently and a bit of some others. Last day there she gave me a hug goodbye and stood outside in the cold at 5:30 a.m. to wave goodbye. Incredibly beautiful, intelligent, and classy. Funny how you have to go half way around the world to meet someone like her.

I've read the tales of woe and misery from getting tangled up with a shrew of a woman and her stink-beast daughter.
You seem like a likable, honorable person and I hope your luck improves.
But sometimes you need to make your own luck. And that begins with not allowing people to take advantage of you for the sake of so-called 'honor.'
I have learned that 'honor' is a synonym for 'sucker' when you are dealing with dishonorable people.
I think you have learned that as well.
BTW, I stand corrected: the money you get should be enough to score the hot daughter of any third world goat-herder.
