The flag can be left out all night if it is lit.
Most flags are weather resistant.
I admire your concern but you don't seem too worried about a flag being desecrated by fire in clear contradiction to flag code.
I bring my flag(s) in at night and also if the weather could be damaging and, yes, I have an inkling.
To be honest a flag can be left out at night even if it isn't lit up. Lighting up a flag at night is only a suggestion/proper etiquette thing. There is no law against leaving a flag up in the dark. Think of all the hundreds of thousands of little grave marker flags that are left up 24/7 for months.
Because it was after his air was delivered. We had a driver pull a guy out of a burning vehicle. Had all the suits show up afterwards to hail him as a hero (which he was).
poor snow flake. please dont meltIt is not against the law to burn the flag. What I see is assault and robbery.
I get more annoyed at the patriots that can't bother to bring their flag in when it's raining.
you can understand the difference though, right? leaving a flag out over night in a clear display of pride in the flag compared to a bunch of snowflakes having a melt down and destroying the flag? its important to note, too, that the "anarchist" kids immediately turned to law enforcement when the hit the fan...Sure, flag burning is extreme, but it's protected by the Constitution.
I see poor flag etiquette everyday, but I don't go yanking them off of people's porches.
to be honest with you, i dont think we ever took the flag down at night on the FB on deployment. it may have been since its military world, but i really dont ever remember revelle or taps being played. To be honest a flag can be left out at night even if it isn't lit up. He may mean a FOB. A Forward Operating Base. Same idea. What is a FB to you? When I was in Vietnam a FB was a Fire Base--Fire Support Base which was a clearing in the jungle that contained 108 and 155 howitzers used to support troops in the field.

Me either. Just found it and posted it.I'm not sure I understand the burning UPS and USPS trucks.
Was the Fedex guy really a veteran? If so Fedex defiantly doesn't want to be known for firing a veteran who stopped a flag burning. Every military person would stop using them
I would have. Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you?I am a vet and there is no way that I would have done what this guy did.
With the exception of spraying them with the fire extinguisher.I would have. Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you?
