So is anyone picking up Macys,Gap,Neweggor more Nike since UPS announcement they will not be taking more of their stuff? Is Fedex gonna try to take on more?
All shippers are getting capped. This time of year sales focuses on keeping long term customers happy. They aren’t going to chase left overs from shippers without a long term deal.

Of course they are. Over-promise then trot out the excuses once he has your money is Fat Freddy’s M.O.

Good for you, man. Once you’re off Fat Freddy’s farm, you truly gain an understanding of just how awful of a company it is to work for. The part that kills me is how much effort the company makes to brainwash people into thinking otherwise. “It is what it is”, “all jobs have BS”, “where else are you going to go and make what you make” are repeated over and over by management as if you should just accept having to work 25 days in a row during the happiest time of year for everyone else as part of what having a job entails. The grass truly is greener elsewhere.
Which is why you're not leaving *here*!

You guys better hope this is a decent December weather wise or it’s going to be an absolute cluster *. Throw a little snow into the mix in a couple of weeks and people might still be getting Christmas packages in February.
So what?

I don’t work for FedEx, so I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, but I don’t care either way.
That's the point - you don't work for the company and have supposedly left for greener pastures, though you can't seem to pry yourself away BC and complaining about the company.

I don't know if there's ever been another poster who did that. Well, maybe one, but he was crazy too.

So that makes ignoring the law, and the public safety it addresses, an acceptable risk?

Only for those with no ethics or conscience.
Oh I don’t know. Seems to me that that’s being a bit silly. Fact is the punishment is lax the way speeding laws are lax. Sure the speed limit may be 70 but do we say those who insist on driving 80 to 85 mph are “those with no ethics or conscience”?
I know you’d like people to think that the 70 hour rule is something the DOT takes seriously, but for our industry where it may only come into play 4 weeks out of the year for most, it should be easily managed. I could see how it would me more frequently an issue for OTR drivers.
