Apparently you aren't familiar with the Critical Race Theory teaching that was proliferating around the country. It's what got Glenn Youngkin elected governor in Virginia and the National School Board Association requesting that Merrick Garland classify parents who protested it at school board meetings as domestic terrorists. CRT is saying that whites are inherently racist and minorities are all victims of white racism. Among other things.

Schools now for most kids are nothing more than a way to get them to become worker bees who are told what to do. And for the pleasure of that, they get the shackles of extreme debt that on top of it. Making almost impossible for someone with that kind of debt to follow any dream or entrepreneurial ship at all because they’re forced to take whatever job they can to start paying back the mountain of debt they got with a near worthless degree.
With the limited opportunities today if you don't have a degree in something valued, it amazes me that people still study for a degree in something that they think will be fun and rewarding without too much effort. Come out of school with too much debt and competing against a million others with the same idea for very limited openings. With parents telling them to follow their heart. What could go wrong?

The amount of pressure schools put on 17 and 18 year olds to figure out what they want to do with the rest of their life so they can spend tens of thousands of dollars is insane.

Because we have universities overrun with woke kids everywhere.
Have seen parents at school board meetings holding up material sent home with their kids to study. Just because you aren't aware of something doesn't mean it hasn't been happening. You're too busy fighting the company to look up around you.
