Not at all. Some hubs require doubles and triples endorsement though. They do require you take your road test in a manual trans

They don't require manual trans qualification everywhere. Not sure the percentage of hubs that do or don't, but I know not all do.

It matters. Why would some and not others? Our entire fleet(big) is automatic. Only the qual tractors are standard. Required by the State. You caring doesn't mean anything.

Not sure how true this is. I drive a manual. I live in New York and I wasn't required by the state to take the road test in a manual, it was ups that required I did

Right. Each State can be different. We have manuals in our fleet also. But we aren't buying any more. Our State requires the road test in a manual. You are trained from day 1 here in a manual. But most of our fleet is auto with rentals being the exception....this is why you are trained in a manual.

It’s is true that New York State would have allowed you to qualify on an automatic but your CDL license would have had a restriction of not permitting you to drive a manual transmission .
