Because it tells the truth? The blurb for that article is littered with biased language, why would anyone take it seriously?

Because when a large group flees, the poor are stuck, and goodbye city. The blurb for that article is littered with biased language, why would anyone take it seriously?
No, not particularly. I spent half my life taking stops off the FDR projects in Lower Manhattan. Oldest, least maintained, and dirtiest NYCHA housing in any borough....hundreds of thousands in rent controlled apartments. Neighborhoods in Queens and The Bronx are a different story.
Similar to post 9/11. A mass exodus of NYC folks left the city. This is different though...may be more long lastingI heard 13K apartments are available to rent. Of course most are in the high end region.

Yea but these people fleeing voted in the government that is allowing this mess! They might repeat the same pattern?Yep. Life is too short to put up with hole governance and tax levels if you can enjoy a better life elsewhere for less.
On the second censor, was it Mets fans?Yep. Life is too short to put up with hole governance and tax levels if you can enjoy a better life elsewhere for less.

I was.Oh I deleted the part of my post about the 2 in 10ish being total s if that's what you're referring to. The worst of the worst NYers are actually Buffalo Sabres fans. My God. ing animals.

What's interesting is NYC might actually be turning into the kind of place portrayed in "Escape From New York" with Kurt Russell.Similar to post 9/11. A mass exodus of NYC folks left the city. This is different though...may be more long lasting
Hah it’s true. All those small biz never coming back. To be replaced with rent controlled apartments. No jobs, etc. What's interesting is NYC might actually be turning into the kind of place portrayed in "Escape From New York" with Kurt Russell.
There goes the neighborhood, wherever you go.Same way around here!
We are remodeling our house to put on the market.
Getting the hell away from Atlanta.
Don't worry, they will buy forclosed homes so fast it will make a banker smile 24/7.Sad part is where ever all those leaving NYC end up results in rising local home prices.
Forcing people who have been trying to save for a decent home right out of the market.
I know many are not going to NJ, since mortgage defaults are rising.
