Inordinately Right
Everybody needs to get behind the teacher's union and their lawsuit so we can get books like this back in schools. Unity!
I’m sorry it’s difficult to talk to some people with such low intellect. You offer nothing in the way of solutions, only talking points.
In any negotiation, you have to remember there’s two sides and there’s a good chance the side you’re fighting against has a lot more support, so you really have to come to the table with a good argument and facts and numbers. The vast majority of people in that state will not care about someone’s dues not being taken out of your check they will figure if they want to be in the union. They will find a way to pay them. On the other hand, you will have a lot more support from people who think management is harassing people in order to break the union and caused labor strife. It might be a good way to make the whole bill go away, since it seems like they may have jumped the shark.
Anything short of that is a waste of time and childish.
I don’t know that they made any argument about porn. Nor do I care, it does sound like they’re trying to make an argument about money. Where they have failed and in my opinion and revealed their true intention, is by trying to weaken the union by collecting a percentage of people yearly, and then deciding there does not need to be a union if it doesn’t reach a certain mark. What is the argument for this law? So far all that has been presented is Public unions are driving up taxes and TeachErs Are ShOwINg KiDS Porn.
Two great reasons right there. What is the argument for this law? So far all that has been presented is Public unions are driving up taxes and TeachErs Are ShOwINg KiDS Porn.
I'm open to someone presenting any sort of argument as to why the trash man doesn't deserve the protections of a labor union.
We the people, not we the union.I'm open to someone presenting any sort of argument as to why the trash man doesn't deserve the protections of a labor union.
That’s great but that staff members from a local, where are all the members who are worried about it? And I don’t know what this post proves.
Of course, any smart labor organization would be against any type of bill that would limit their ability to gather new members
Well, those are not Teamsters so I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Have you ever seen unions fight over jurisdictional areas and potential members? It’s pretty ugly.
I know a few lineman, those are some pretty tough dudes I don’t think anything as silly as this worthless little bill would keep them from being Union
Y'all going to tell me the county lineman doesn't deserve union representation?

That’s great you’re gonna need more than just solidarity. And finding an effective way to beat back a politician is most important here.Yup. They are standing in solidarity against it.
Linemen work for the power company, not government.

These bills are always geared towards public unions, like teachers unions etc, they don't care about the Teamsters union
And the Republicans want to get rid of them. Will the Republicans go against UPS Teamsters next? The Teamsters represent public employees in Florida.
The teamsters represent county lineman in Florida. Rob Desantis is attacking them.Linemen work for the power company, not government.
Not anymore they don't!The Teamsters represent public employees in Florida.
Oh yea? What are they doing wrong? The teamsters represent county lineman in Florida. Rob Desantis is attacking them.
