That always cracks me up. Go price Whites and tell me about how expensive Red Wings are.

I didn't say they were prohibitively expensive, but they are more expensive than tennis shoes. I looked on the Whites website, and although I didn't go completely through the selections, I wonder how expensive they are, because the prices are not posted. It said contact for price quote. Too rich for me. Maybe you live where the temperatures and conditions are more extreme than here, but I don't necessarily need knee high logging boots to do this job. If they work for you, that's great.

What aggregates me about shoes is that they always end up having a weak point regarding wear spots. I often have to retire a pair when 95% of the shoe is still in great condition because the front of the shoe has taken too much of a beating. Whether it's the rubber or the stitching. The job seems to attack shoes heavily in the front. Trying to find the best all black work sneaker with the toughest toe construction.
