Fred Zs * visit, his amicable meeting with PK & JC 42s fury!

I disagree

Disagree, all you want.

If you have ever (recently) been "in the field" trying to organize....

You would understand, what we are facing.

Hopefully we the members will win

When you use words like "Hopefully".... That's already admitting defeat.

We know what the outcome will be.

The only question is;

Why does TDU.... keep making the IBT spend $millions.... on an election they can't win ??

Revisionist history....

Is always convenient, for those who are trying to revise it.

Carey got caught with his shorts down, because UPS didn't think we would strike.

There was no other choice. Fortunately, the economic climate was right.

And.... we had public support. This isn't 1997 anymore.

If you think, that could happen now ? Dream on.

The public would be carrying pitch forks and burning torches to the facilities.

(along with their "affordable" health care bills)

With all due respect: don't put words in my post.
Your rebuttal has nothing to do with what I posted in response to another's slanted "facts".

We all got caught with our shorts down. Everyone that was working there in 1997 that is. No substantial strike fund but a substantial amount of solidarity.

And we stuck together behind an ex UPS driver who appealed to the members.

He's wasn't a "TDU piece of crap". The over the top trash talk proves nothing.

I disagree again,.... Hopefully does not mean defeat!

Pretty arrogant of you to assume you already won!!

friend.Z. isn't tdu, I think 'big-belly' has made that perfectly clear, he has shown his plates enough times you should know that!

And a heck of a lot of teamsters are sure glad he decided to run, and I'm one of them!!!

Actually I showed the plates to show what a flip flopping little 13 year old girl he is. Theres a very long history of Fred doing just this. You just haven't been around long enough to understand.

Nope,.....
From what I know and being told by his members is he stands with them, he's on picket lines, found out he took on the UAW and Voith Industries and WON,...
A huge settlement for his members without the help from H'jr and R.G,.... All they did was put up road blocks!

He took on the vote no movement all by himself, he's very well respected in his town, and he has the respect from his members!!

"You" plural or singular?
That's the snag and you tagged me with the response.

My post was about a leader and the hundreds of thousands of Teamsters that trusted and believed in him.

A tremendous amount of people on here (that now trash his name) voted for him and stood behind his leadership because he was a man who identified with the common man. He had guts in a world full of compromise.

Yup. Anti-union lawyers who pull info from LM-2s of high salary officials; and company owners/managers who work with disgruntled former Teamster officials. The old guard actively helps the anti-union side, with their cozy relationship with companies; and want of high paid, do-nothing positions.
It's the unfortunate reality.
