Get Out Of Chicago ASAP???

CWB Chicago reports:

Walk into the Central (1st) District station in the South Loop at night and you’ll see children sleeping on blankets on the floor with no pillows and, often, their shoes still on. Most of the adults sleep on the window ledges atop the building’s heating and air conditioning vents, but a couple curl up on benches outside the two lobby restroom doors, each of which sports a paper sign that limits users to five minutes. [Emphasis added]
During the day, random shoes litter the police station lobby from end to end. Some of the younger children are understandably restless and energetic. They run across the police station with an adult in hot pursuit. The families grab bottled water and food from a small table set up in the lobby — salads for lunch, snacks. [Emphasis added]

It has been months. Currently, there are 28 migrants camping out … with no showers and one men’s room and one female bathroom,” said an officer who frequents the district station. [Emphasis added]

Interested to see how this plays out.

I see the value of Chicago suburb housing going up.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

I guess things aren’t bad enough in Chicago. Plus they cheat in the elections. They wrote the book on it.

So they are deep in debt from giving too much free stuff away and their only solution is to jack taxes on evil high income earners? That plan fails every time it is tried.

Pensions are killing them. Pensions for fire, police and other city workers.

About $1 of every $5 in Chicago’s budget goes toward pensions, a challenge in a city where revenue often falls short of expenditures,

Seeing how there is a population decrease , the city should renegotitate all current pensions deals to reflect true conditions.
But that will never happen, the unions are to strong and the city leaders to weak.

So you prefer weak unions that get run over and give up?
