What was the deal with the $10,000 bet Romney tried to make with Perry?

He was just pulling a serious figure to show how sure he was that Perry was wrong......much in the way you yourself bet your week's paycheck not too long ago. Like saying, "I bet a million bucks yada, yada.."

I would think that if Perry is so darn sure it is written a certain way in Mitt's book that he would bring a copy to one of his follow up interviews and prove it......but, like TOS, no proof.....
