I don't know if at that point if they knew Tim was planning on running, purely speculation on my part, but I know how the politics work in our union. And just my opinion ,but they force a contract on us which gets a lot of people upset. So what do you do next? You have to put put yourself back in the spotlight and make yourself look good. You have to get votes for reelection time. So Hoffa and Hall come back and take credit for what they didn't really achieve.

They didn't care till it made television till other politicians jumped in .Then they jumped at the opportunity to put there political careers back on track, and unfortunately people are buying it. It's time for a new slate. But to answer your question six weeks was way to long to wait.
