How as life changed in centers with little or no Amazon volume?

What do you think Bezos did for the first 10-15 years? He lost money! He takes risk. Now the investors are more willing to invest in his risk taking.
He's still losing money.

the whole point of delivering their own stuff would be to cut costs. They aren't going to do that by paying ups wages.

I hate to be an ass but some of you obviously don't have a clue about running a business for a profit.

Also, UPS is not dependent on Amazon's volume, which I have seen estimated here at anywhere between seven and fifteen percent; Amazon equals just five percent of UPS' total revenue. The other users of UPS are NOT going to use Amazon's shipping service, such as their competitors in the retail market, medical shippers, etc.
