Anyone who is stupid enough to live in a known flood area should pay through the ass for insurance. They say they do now but they need to pay 10 times that amount for being so stupid. ---especially if this is the 2nd or third time they were flooded. NOBODY should be allowed to build back on that property. This is the reason everyone elses insurance is so high--to pay for others stupidity.

I thought the master or at least our supplemental contract had language exempting 8 hr guarantees in cases of weather or other things outside of anyone's control.

We got paid our 8 for the day, at least those that fought for it. Our argument was why tell us to come in to work if it wasn’t safe. If you didn’t want to pay the 8 you should’ve told us the day before, when you knew there was an “act of God.” We worked 5 hrs and got paid 8.
