says we are shifting towards a naked form of control with the lack of belief in neoliberalism.

says internet has largely been corporatized by a few monopolies.

the elites will form alliances with fascists as a way of distracting the populace from their economic problems. when the system goes into recession or depression, he says we will lose alot more freedoms and security will be used as an excuse. we already are quite far down the road to neofeudalism with endless debts and low wages. says they may pass some mild reforms to get people to stop protesting and accept their mediocrisy like a guaranteed income. unions will be completely destroyed or coopted (as in the case of UPS).

says the US can print as much money as it likes as long as its reserve currency which he doesnt see changing. the federal reserve is a feudal institution, not under democratic control and is sortve like having lots of vaticans around. says we will live under the dictatorship of the worlds central banks and govts.

david harvey says its astonishing how much debts have increased since 2007 which is 2x.

whats ironic to me is border patrol allows these influential non americans leftists to teach in the country, and yet somehow im a bad guy...

if you want to show how valuable you are, then post some articles here. alot of the stuff you say isnt even worth responding to. have some more self respect.
I ask you simple questions which you never respond to because you don't know the answers. You rant against capitalism but can't defend what you're a proponent of. Just because an academic says something doesn't necessarily make it so. There's theory, then there's the real world. In theory socialism sounds great. In reality it eventually falls apart. The incentive to do well lies with capitalism. Take away that incentive and the only way ultimately you can get things done is coercion. Threatening violence and sometimes committing violence to scare people into compliance. That wasn't enough to hold the Soviet Union together. In Greece, for example, there was violence as people reacted to having things promised to them taken away because those great things couldn't be paid for. In Venezuela everything has fallen apart and violence committed to survive has already driven many Venezuelans to flee the country. People can sit around pondering the possibilities of an equal and just world in an academic setting without fear of losing their substantial salaries paid for by a capitalist system. But when they use their position to influence tomorrow's leaders who are uninformed about the consequences of such theory, they endanger us all with their influence. That's happening all across the country, and those young minds are coming out into a world that doesn't have the opportunities to succeed previous generations had because free trade closed down many of those avenues. And as hoped by academics the frustration is building with the system because they want as good a life as their parents. So they start believing that if they change the system into that equal opportunity, socially just system their professors talked about everything will be better. Pretty easy to see the seeds have been planted. Trump is trying to bring back opportunities but that has unequal outcomes and requires time and hard work. They want everything now, and are looking to new leadership to bring it to them. It's going to be interesting how this unfolds, and it may not be pretty.

trumps a crook basically, but his free trade stance is better than every admin since bill clinton although still not good enough. youre a poor judge of character.

capitalism too has fallen apart and will eventually completely fall apart with global warming. its not efficient enough (or at all really). theres not a ton of incentive; ive pretended to work at tons of jobs and so do my coworkers - some of us have phones, and we use them. people sleep on the job (in the day time) at my current job.

people are threatened with violence in the "capitalist" world as well. america is prime example with its bloodiest strikes in the developed world.

thats not the problem with greece.

my indian coworker says he and some of his friends :censored2:ed up immigrating to north america, says they shoulda stayed in EU or australia.

The U.S. has the strongest economy in the world because of capitalism. And promised benefits that couldn't be paid for was the case with Greece. If not please explain the Greek troubles to me. You may get away with pretending to work in Canada but in the U.S. you either work or you leave(and yes we all know people who do the bare minimum). And brother, the incentive to make a profit builds efficiency into the marketplace. The fact that you say otherwise tells me you don't have knowledge of how things actually work.

no there are other countries where workers are better off than american workers. australia, germany, nordic countries, france, etc.

profits doesnt mean efficient or incentive. look up the definition. we have record profits at my job and tons of workers slacking, as they should.

Show me one country with as large, or nearly as large, a population as ours that's doing as well? Comparing the U.S. to Denmark isn't a fair comparison. And I notice you mentioned all capitalist countries but failed to mention the countries of southern Europe who's socialist policies have nearly bankrupted them. The EU is unraveling, just a matter of time, because the northern countries don't want to pay for the southern countries' largesse, and unvetted mass immigration is driving nationalism.

And France isn't doing that well. China and India have larger populations than the U.S.. And you need to educate yourself on the many benefits the southern European countries, especially Greece, were giving. Wasn't very limited and wasn't sustainable on their GDP. That's what the northern European countries have going for them, low population, other than Germany, strong capitalist economies that pay for their social programs. But they don't want their taxes paying for southern economy mismanagement.
