Unnecessary

The govt could hire during down turns. You know what fdr did right?
Yes I do. FDR prolonged the Great Depression instead of letting it run its course. Pretty much what we have going with.the quantative easing. The 2008 crisis should have been allowed to run its course. Instead we printed and printed money to hold the recession down. Has resulted in huge debt, high inflation, and likely will lead to another Great Depression.

he hired 10% of america by the govt

Where does the money come to put 10% of our population on the government payroll? FDR put people to work building roads, etc. Was able to hire 10% because we had 25% unemployment. If you hired 10% now where are they coming from with 4% unemployment? And what would they do?

Government doesn't produce anything. We aren't going to tax everyone to death so that we can pay 10% of the population nice salaries to do busy work.

Just the rich like fdr did

Govt creates lots of things like the internet
The 10% of the population you propose hiring aren't going to create things like the internet. And while FDR paid people very little I'm sure you'd want this 10% to be paid well with great benefits too. So you're going to have to jack up taxes for everyone, not just the rich, to cover the high salaries and benefits of 35 million people. Who you would want to have a say in everything they do so there goes any chance of efficiency. Do you ever think things through?

You think all that can be paid for by the people who already pay the bulk of income taxes? What you're talking about is confiscating their wealth. Not just tax more of their income. You'd ruin the stock markets, you'd stop the creation of new business. Why would anyone innovate and create new business when the government is going to take it away? And why would anyone who could afford a car want to ride public transit anyways? Seriously you live in a fantasy world.

In a recession the market is not creating jobs

Fdr did the right thing hiring 10% of the workers

Tax the rich. If he could hire 10% then, you can do it now.

Ppl dont want to be stuck in rush hour, cars are inefficient and more expensive, ppl increasingly cant afford a car

America did well with high taxes on the rich. Better than it did when it lowered them

Since you know everything economically, it seems musk and trump are going after medicaid

Did you miss out on w bush going after ss?

Capitalists go after workers money. Socialism seeks to end that

People get stuck in rush hour in some cities. So what?

FDR didn't provide them with nice salaries and benefits.

The high taxes on the rich were only on the highest part of their income. The bulk of their income was with the same rates as everyone else. And America didn't do better either. Because eventually high taxation leads to creating dependency. Name one highly taxed state where there's not a dependent class and high rates of crime and drug abuse?
