I understand Dave Ramsey’s philosophy here if you have the discipline to actually pay your card off, you’re good, but you’d be surprised how many people don’t have that.
he believes no one should, despite your ability to pay it off, because he says studies show you buy more things with a credit card vs cash

I just simply disagree, but I can only speak for myself. No doubt that it is good advice for many, if not most. But I live within my means and have perfect credit, and I use my credit card for everything from gas and insurance to groceries

Remember, he sells a program that tries to get people out of debt. It’s a one size fits all and it does work. It just may not be the best fit for everyone.

Honestly, if most people listened to his advice. We would have a lot less consumer debt.

Debt is slavery
Self-imposed but still slavery.

Hate to say it but slavery in its original form is how this country was built. Debt is how this country grew.

The country was not built on slavery. There was slavery and that is terrible but half the country didn’t even have slaves. Our constitution was written in such a way that slavery was never going to be able to permanently stay.

If you managed debt properly it can also make you wealthy for example with real estate. The problem is most people don’t understand how that works or what they should go into debt for.

I believe DC was built with slave labor I could be mistaken though. Non compensated labor built the south which subsidized expansion?

Tell me where there’s more opportunity than here? Nothing is perfect. success in any business or any job is highly dependent on the individual. Liberty still exists here even if there has been an assault against it over the years.
Well we are selling 5 Million dollar gold cards to be here.

The bubble will pop eventually, and the pendulum will swing. Stop being such a negative Nelly.
No you have a point. I believe others echo your statement. The state of Mississippi is making a move forward. Just eliminated state income tax. To support Amazon… wow
