Idalia good or bad for Florida ?

My house was actually about 5 miles from Crystal Beach to the east in Gilchrist. It was built in the late 50's or early 60's. New minimum building regulations now require 12-14' off the ground.

Nice area. The ferry back and forth is a hassle: but I love the beaches.

If you are a resident down there, you can bypass the ferry line now. I hated waiting for that ferry. If you catch it wrong or didn't make it on, it might cost you an hour or more. If I went down there on a weekend, I'd always take I10 east and come in the back way.
